Miley Cyrus writes her own songs

Miley Cyrus shared a new song. "Midnight Sky" is their first release since the 2019 SHE IS COMING EP. It is not yet known whether the synth-pop track will be featured on a new album. This time, Cyrus went to the director's chair himself for the video for the song.

In the lyrics, Cyrus pleads for self-love and independence. The singer apparently refers to her public separation from actor Liam Hemsworth: "I was born to run, I don't belong to anyone / Oh no, I don't have to be loved by you".

Cyrus spoke about a seventh studio album in July 2019 with the US version of the magazine "Elle", where she also announced the title of the album, SHE IS MILEY CYRUS. This should consist of three EPs, including SHE IS COMING from last year. Now Cyrus told New Music Daily Radio that SHE IS MILEY CYRUS will probably not appear as originally planned after all. Instead, she wants to focus on new material:

“I write it, I let it go. When you write a song, you often write about your experiences, and when the song comes out you have moved beyond that experience. "

"Wrecking Ball", "Party In The U.S.A." and "We Can't Stop" are just a few of the pop star's top ten hits. So far, the singer has sold 20 million records worldwide, and at the age of 27 she has already released six albums. As a former child star, she began her career in the Disney Channel series "Hannah Montana", when the daughter of country singer Billy Ray Cyrus ("Achy Breaky Heart") was just eleven years old. This was followed by her first musical steps with her debut album MEET MILEY CYRUS in 2007 as well as film projects such as “The Last Song” (2010) with ex Liam Hemsworth or the coming-of-age drama “LOL” (2012).
