How to evade a skill in Taekwondo

Social significance

As a side effect, so to speak, several skills are learned or refined in Taekwondo that can only be acquired with great difficulty in other ways. For example, in addition to improving coordination skills and motor skills, Taekwondo is also ideally suited to significantly increasing concentration, physical fitness, self-confidence and self-esteem.

Taekwondo and children
Because of these positive aspects alone, Taekwondo is particularly suitable for promoting the development of children in physical and mental terms. But there are also other reasons why Taekwondo has emerged as a kind of educational aid. From the very first lesson it is made clear to the children that fairness is one of the topmost principles. Children learn very quickly not to take advantage of someone else's weakness.

Since the color of the belt in Taekwondo sport symbolizes an outward sign of ability, every child - and of course every young person or adult - endeavors to take part in the next belt test. In order to pass the exam, children learn very quickly that you can achieve your goal if you commit yourself to it. Many parents can tell a song about it, because it is not uncommon for the armchair sets to be moved before belt tests so that the child has enough space in the living room to practice.

Taekwondo as a school sport
It is not without reason that Taekwondo has been approved for differentiated physical education (DSU) in some federal states. With the cooperation of the parents and the TKD associations, the Ministry of Culture was able to be convinced of the positive side of Taekwondo, and access in the school gyms was possible. It speaks for the flexible and open nature of the ministry that they were and are ready to break new ground for the benefit of the children.

Taekwondo in the correctional facility
After a lot of convincing the skeptics, Taekwondo courses have already been carried out in some of the JVA's.
The result of the project exceeded all expectations. Already after the first training units, the psychologists at the prison found that the men and women were more calm and satisfied. They also confirmed that since the training they had had many conversations that were previously unthinkable.
